Celebrity Wedding News: Nicky Hilton

Yesterday, on Friday, July 10, 2015, Nicholai (Nicky) Olivia Hilton married James Rothschild at the beautiful Kensington Palace.

The wedding, of course, was an opulent affair held in London, England . . . Because destination weddings are amazing. The beautiful bride, was dressed in a long-sleeve, couture Valentino gown, and looked absolutely flawless.

Her sister, Paris Hilton, and their mother, Kathy Hilton, both looked elegant and beautiful. Paris has the perfect bridesmaids look with a flowing, sky blue spaghetti strap gown, and wore her long blonde hair styled in loose curls. Paris' cat-eyeliner is the perfect match to complete her look.

The look Nicky chose for her wedding day was classic and timeless. Her hair was pulled into a low, no-fuss bridal updo which perfectly suited her gown choice. And I love that her updo isn't slicked back, as it still looks very soft and pretty.

Nicky's makeup is flawless! Soft bridal makeup is always a win ladies. It photographs beautiful (when done well) and when you look back on your photos in 5, 23, or 49 years you won't regret at thing.

I love the simple (non-winged) eyeliner, that draws attention to her beautiful eyes. Everything else is kept soft and clean, with pink cheeks and glossy lips. Hilton later changed from her ceremony look, to a more fun, flirty party dress with plenty of bling. Nicky also decided to change her hair style to loose, flowing waves . . . both perfect partying at your reception.

The Perfect Bridal Manicure

Your exquisite wedding gown, flawless face and beaming smile, along with your perfectly coiffed tresses all receive plenty of attention on your wedding day. But your hands should not be forgotten  – from the first flash of that glistening engagement ring to the joining of wedding bands.

For perfect bridal hands, it is critical that you focus on protecting your hands from the sun, while keeping them moisturized. A rich hand cream with SPF will do the trick. Keeping your hands moisturized ensures no rough, scaly looking skin, while helping you keep those cuticles in check. The sun protection will keep sun spots and premature wrinkles at bay. So as a part of your wedding planning, don't neglect your hands and make them a part of your "beauty" routine. Two of my favorite hand creams are below:

Deborah Lippmann's Rich Girl Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Hand Cream

La Prairie's White Caviar Illuminating Hand Cream

As a bride, your bridal manicure will depend on your bridal style. For a slight twist on the traditional, try a pretty blue nail color, for your "Something Blue."

OPI's Eternally Turquoise

Soft and neutral nail colors keep the overall bridal look sweet or even modest, if that is your preference.

OPI's Steady As a Rose

For those of you that love a french manicure, but desire something a bit different for such a special day . . . Try changing up the color options, like below. It's different without being to bold.

If you typically like designs on your nails but are a bit concerned about going overboard, you can always stick with a shade of pink or peach, and have a design added in white.
