Golden Globe Beauty for Bridal Inspiration

Can you believe it's 2016?! Happy New Year! It is already January 11th and I'm still somewhat in shock that it is officially 2016!

And with the New Year has already come Hollywood awards shows and plenty of red carpets! The most recent being the 2016 Golden Globes. With it also being "engagement season," I thought I would share with you my favorite beauty looks that would be perfect for bridal makeup.

So let's start with the stunning Grace Gealey. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name, she is an American actress who stars as "Anika," on the show Empire. Take a look below:

She looked amazing! I like this look for a bride who may be having a black tie, evening wedding. Her makeup artist Anthony Merante created this look using some of my favorites like Chanel, Tom Ford and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Her lip color is perfection and her skin looks like skin. I also love that this look can work for various skin tones, with slight adjustments.

I have never seen Kate Bosworth look so beautiful. Her makeup artist Pati Dubroff is one of my favorites to follow on Instagram.

Dubroff used Laura Mercier's Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation for this look and now I have to try out the foundation. The entire look worked so well with the color and design of her gown, and would be great for a bride who wants a rosey-cheek look.

Another favorite for me was Miss Kylie Jenner.  I truly felt like her hair stylist (Jen Atkin),  makeup artist (Ariel Tejada), and stylist (Monica Rose) nailed this look. If you consider yourself a Glam bride! . . . This is for you!

The contouring isn't over done, the nude lip is the perfect shade (and photographs well) and her winged-out smokey-eye is perfect for her sleek bun. Seriously, she nailed it. She looks glamorous and modern without over doing it.

Last but certainly not least, the gorgeous, Isabeli Fontana. Her makeup was done by Mario Dedivanovic (who is famous for glamming Kim Kardashian).

To me, not only is her look flawless, but it is so bridal! Her hair was styled by Jennifer Yepez, and Yepez creates the most sleek and chic hair styles. Mario used Loreal Paris for her look and as always, his work is exquisite. Fontana's gown is by Ralph & Russo whose formal and bridal collections are both superb!

So, for you 2016 and 2017 brides . . . Are you inspired?! I hope so, because I know I am. I'm looking forward to creating some flawless, classic looks for all my "Corianne Elizabeth brides." And if you are planning your dream wedding and want to be one of them . . . What are you waiting for?! Tell me more!!! inquire

So who was your favorite from the show?! Tell me your favorites for fashion and beauty ;-)

PUBLISHED! South Asian Inspired Bridal Shower Styled Shoot

I'm so excited to share some great news! Munaluchi Bridal has published, via their blog, a styled shoot I was a part of earlier this year! Now that is has been published, I can share some behind the scenes photos with you and give you my perspective.

For those of you who don't know what a styled shoot is, it's basically a planned photo shoot that allows various creative vendors to come together. Often times there is a theme or vision that everyone is working toward.

I was contacted by Payal (on the left in the picture below), who is one of the partners of Anokhi Events, and asked if I was interested and available to do hair for this shoot. I typically do both makeup and hair, or just makeup for photo shoots, so I was excited to do something a little different this time! I didn't know much about the other vendors or the venue, so I was looking forward to meeting some new faces.

Paula Walker was the makeup artist for this shoot and we both started quite early that morning, with 4 models to take care of.

For this shoot I used primarily Oribe and Bumble and Bumble hair products. If was fun to experiment a bit, and have creative freedom. Once we transitioned to the gorgeous Summerour Studio I was shocked that I hadn't been there before. It is an amazing space that allows for so much creative freedom! Seriously, if you are a bride-to-be looking to get married in the Atlanta metro area, you MUST check it out.

The morning went smoothly and it's always great to work with such free, creative individuals. It was beautiful to see how things came together and to finally have a full visual of the vision Payal had. Everything was amazing! The flowers were breathtaking, the cake was an absolute work of art, and the skirts designed for the shoot were perfect!

I always enjoy watching other people do their thing,  and am always super excited and pleased when photographers send the final images . . . I'm always amazed. It's a great feeling to know you've contributed to the "final product". Thank you to the photographer, Laura Barnes, for all the hard work you put in that day and after!

This is the link for the blog feature, South Asian Inspired Bridal Shower, but I thought I would share with you some of my favorite images as well!

The Perfect Bridal Manicure

Your exquisite wedding gown, flawless face and beaming smile, along with your perfectly coiffed tresses all receive plenty of attention on your wedding day. But your hands should not be forgotten  – from the first flash of that glistening engagement ring to the joining of wedding bands.

For perfect bridal hands, it is critical that you focus on protecting your hands from the sun, while keeping them moisturized. A rich hand cream with SPF will do the trick. Keeping your hands moisturized ensures no rough, scaly looking skin, while helping you keep those cuticles in check. The sun protection will keep sun spots and premature wrinkles at bay. So as a part of your wedding planning, don't neglect your hands and make them a part of your "beauty" routine. Two of my favorite hand creams are below:

Deborah Lippmann's Rich Girl Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Hand Cream

La Prairie's White Caviar Illuminating Hand Cream

As a bride, your bridal manicure will depend on your bridal style. For a slight twist on the traditional, try a pretty blue nail color, for your "Something Blue."

OPI's Eternally Turquoise

Soft and neutral nail colors keep the overall bridal look sweet or even modest, if that is your preference.

OPI's Steady As a Rose

For those of you that love a french manicure, but desire something a bit different for such a special day . . . Try changing up the color options, like below. It's different without being to bold.

If you typically like designs on your nails but are a bit concerned about going overboard, you can always stick with a shade of pink or peach, and have a design added in white.

Be sure to check out my bridal nails Pinterest board for more amazing bridal mani options, because there is something for everyone, regardless of your bridal style! And Contact me to complete your bridal style with hair and makeup that perfectly suits you and your wedding!
