Rocksbox

One of the things I love the most about doing photo shoots is working with other creative people. Recently I did a shoot with Michelle Scott Photography and the stylist for the shoot was Icon Stylist. I had a bit of a chat with her about styling and how to make some changes with my wardrobe and personal style; she suggested jewelry. Fast forward 4 months and I was introduced to Rocksbox!

Now to tell you a bit more about me, my wardrobe is very basic when it comes to color. I'm talking black, white, grey and beige/nude colors. And to be honest I love it, yet I also felt it needed a little something. But shopping for jewelry kind of overwhelms me. I didn't know where to start, what would look good, or even what is practical when I'm working (because though I like to look of 8 bangles, when I'm doing someone's makeup, it is highly annoying).

You know how there are all those subscription makeup companies where you pay a certain amount each month and they send you new stuff to try? Well, Rocksbox is somewhat similar. It is a monthly subscription, however, it allows you the opportunity to borrow the jewelry and decide if it is something you want to keep!

What I like the most about Rocksbox is the sets that are sent to me, are picked just for me. I don't get the same 3 pieces of jewelry everyone else does. I filled out a questionnaire and even created a "Wishlist" that my stylist works from! I was quite excited when I received my 1st box. Not only was the shipping super quick, but the packaging is so cute!

Gorjana, Candice Shimmer Ear Climbers

In my first box, I received one set of earrings and 2 necklaces, along with a note from my stylist Eleanor. The earrings were a gold pair of ear climbers from Gorjana (pictured above). I love this style and am ready to try more like this.

The thing that made me really appreciate the service Rocksbox provided, was the piece I thought I would love, I didn't like so much once I put it on. The necklace pictured about from Soko it gorgeous, but I wasn't particular about how it looked on me.

Perry Street, Kira Necklace

My favorite piece was one I wasn't so sure about when I opened my box. But let me tell you! . . . This necklace from Perry Street is perfect for so many looks! I love that I can wear it with jeans and a tank top, but that it will look great with a black or white sundress! This one is definitely a keeper!

I'm excited to send my box back (without the Kira Necklace) and get my new set! Rocksbox, also gives you an opportunity to give feedback on what you are sent, so I'll be doing that tonight! Rocksbox has jewelry from Kendra Scott, Loren Hope and Margaret Elizabeth (just to name a few), so I'm ready for new items from my list!

Golden Globe Beauty for Bridal Inspiration

Can you believe it's 2016?! Happy New Year! It is already January 11th and I'm still somewhat in shock that it is officially 2016!

And with the New Year has already come Hollywood awards shows and plenty of red carpets! The most recent being the 2016 Golden Globes. With it also being "engagement season," I thought I would share with you my favorite beauty looks that would be perfect for bridal makeup.

So let's start with the stunning Grace Gealey. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name, she is an American actress who stars as "Anika," on the show Empire. Take a look below:

She looked amazing! I like this look for a bride who may be having a black tie, evening wedding. Her makeup artist Anthony Merante created this look using some of my favorites like Chanel, Tom Ford and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Her lip color is perfection and her skin looks like skin. I also love that this look can work for various skin tones, with slight adjustments.

I have never seen Kate Bosworth look so beautiful. Her makeup artist Pati Dubroff is one of my favorites to follow on Instagram.

Dubroff used Laura Mercier's Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation for this look and now I have to try out the foundation. The entire look worked so well with the color and design of her gown, and would be great for a bride who wants a rosey-cheek look.

Another favorite for me was Miss Kylie Jenner.  I truly felt like her hair stylist (Jen Atkin),  makeup artist (Ariel Tejada), and stylist (Monica Rose) nailed this look. If you consider yourself a Glam bride! . . . This is for you!

The contouring isn't over done, the nude lip is the perfect shade (and photographs well) and her winged-out smokey-eye is perfect for her sleek bun. Seriously, she nailed it. She looks glamorous and modern without over doing it.

Last but certainly not least, the gorgeous, Isabeli Fontana. Her makeup was done by Mario Dedivanovic (who is famous for glamming Kim Kardashian).

To me, not only is her look flawless, but it is so bridal! Her hair was styled by Jennifer Yepez, and Yepez creates the most sleek and chic hair styles. Mario used Loreal Paris for her look and as always, his work is exquisite. Fontana's gown is by Ralph & Russo whose formal and bridal collections are both superb!

So, for you 2016 and 2017 brides . . . Are you inspired?! I hope so, because I know I am. I'm looking forward to creating some flawless, classic looks for all my "Corianne Elizabeth brides." And if you are planning your dream wedding and want to be one of them . . . What are you waiting for?! Tell me more!!! inquire

So who was your favorite from the show?! Tell me your favorites for fashion and beauty ;-)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss: New Fall Shades

Anyone who knows me well, knows there is one thing in the makeup world I will not do without . . . Lip stuff. When I say "lip stuff" I personally mean lip balms, lip moisturizers, Carmex, and a plethora of lip glosses. I mean, I'm the girl who sleeps with lip gloss on.

This year, I have tried as much as possible to rock various lipsticks. With my caramel brown skin tone, I can wear A LOT of them, but I'm just not a huge fan of how they feel and wear. The only lipstick I would consider having a collection of is Dior Addict Lipstick. Partially because the wear is much like a lip gloss, and because the packaging is perfect (though we can discuss those and all their glory at another time). We all have our personal preferences and mine is lip gloss.

I have recently been introduced to Anastasia Beverly Hills lip glosses, and let me say . . . An absolute win. They are hands-down the most pigmented glosses I have ever used, they smell pretty good, and almost act as a stain. They aren't super sticky (which I don't care about, but I know many do) and there is a huge option of shades. My most recent love is the newest shade collection for fall.

For those of you who are true to a nude lip year round, Kristen or Butterscotch is perfect (depending on your complexion). If you like to rock a deeper, Vampy look for the fall season, you must try Potion. All of the shades are beautiful! If I had to pick only four (notice I said only four because only one or two is impossible), I would choose; Fudge, Tara, Warm Bronze and Potion.

The lip glosses are available at Macy's and online at http://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/lip-gloss.html
